La Missione Italiana di Milano

05 January, 2019

Going Home ...

It happens all too frequently here...

Our great missionaries finally come to the end

of their hard work and dedicated time serving the Lord

in the

Italy Milan Mission.

What will we do without them!?

They were indispensable.

We are sad to see them go

but we are very excited for what the future

has in store for each.

We predict very good things.

They ended "up"...

and life will certainly continue that way for them.

Bidding farewell to

Anziano Wilson, Sorella McConkie, Sorella Johnson

Ci vediamo!

And God's speed.

Senior Couples Christmas Conference

Christmas in Italy!

WOW!

There is cultural wonder everywhere

and we enjoy

spending time with our Senior Couples

eating - shopping - site seeing

but

mostly just getting to know each other.

We appreciate each one of them so greatly!

We welcomed them to the mission home
to enjoy the decorations and a hearty lunch.

The Seniors gather.
I do not know how this mission would run without them.
They are truly indispensable!
We are grateful for their sacrifices to be here.
The missionaries love them.
(We are missing Sorella Griffiths and the Gales. Both had family conflicts.)

Around the table clockwise... Sorella Allen, Anziano & Sorella Keefer, Sorella & Anziano Russo, Anziano Griffiths, Sorella & Anziano Michelini, Anziano & Sorella Nielson, Sorella and Anziano Thorstrom. (Photo cred - President Allen)

After a luscious lunch of salad, minestrone soup and apple fritter with gelato
we took the metro in to see Duomo di Milano.

We ended our day with a fireside in the Lampugnano chapel.

Our special thanks to all who serve here!

New Assistant to the President

We would like to welcome

Anziano Halterman

who joins Anziano Kjar

in the assignment of Assistant.

He brings so much heart, testimony and talent to the table.

We are grateful for his willingness to serve and enjoy his ever-ready smile.

His great example and love was felt by all even before

he came into the office.

It will now continue.

December Consiglio

It is time for our last Consiglio of the year.

Where does the time go?

I doubt there are any faces below

(Excepting President and I)

that are in this leadership meeting at the first of the year.

When you consider the constant revolving door that is in every mission....

when you consider that this is a first opportunity

for leadership for many...

they are quite incredible.

It is true....

"whom the Lord calls, He qualifieth".

We all certainly wouldn't want to try to do this without His help.
