During the first two weeks of September, Zone Conferences were held in five locations. The zones in our mission are aligned with the six stakes, and there are one, two or three zones in each stake depending upon the proximity of the missionaries.
The Zone Leaders conducted the conferences. President Dibb gave instruction from Preach My Gospel and the scriptures regarding work with part-member families, inviting all to make commitments, effective time use, and Doctrine & Covenants 20:37. We then had a demonstration and role play regarding teaching a precept from the scriptures. This was followed by a discussion led by Sister Dibb about testimony and the bearing of testimonies. Then a challenge was issued by the Assistants to the President to continue to work to find at least three new investigators per week. New missionaries were introduced and we heard their testimonies. A slideshow was presented showing missionary activities of the last three months including baptisms (our favorite part!). After a delicious lunch prepared by senior couple missionaries, we heard fabulous musical selections and sometimes from a stake presidency member. The zone leaders then spent the next segment on teaching Lesson 3 in Preach My Gospel. Much of that time was spent role playing and evaluating with each other. The Assistants then did a training on Companionship Study followed by the closing thoughts of President Dibb. The departing missionaries then shared their testimonies.

Meeting together energizes all missionaries and especially the Mission President and his wife. We are excited to move forward to more finding, teaching and baptizing in Northern Italy.
