We Are Awesome!!

The missionaries of the Italy Milan Mission are truly awesome.  This past month, while President Dibb was interviewing each missionary in the mission, training was given by the missionaries, Assistants to the President, Sister Dibb, Sister Training Leaders and Zone Leaders.   President Dibb began by saying "hello" and spoke about completing families by identifying and teaching people in part-member families.  The missionaries were then taught from the scriptures and questions were answered on health and apartment maintenance matters.  There was training regarding the use of area books, planning ideas were taught and added upon, and "teach to find" techniques were explained and role played. Preach My Gospel  was referenced and read from again and again.  The Assistants to the President then encouraged the missionaries to discover why they are awesome and to create a desire to be more consecrated missionaries.  Teaching more lessons gives more people a chance to learn about Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness.

January Departures and Arrivals

Even though it has been a cold and rainy January, the missionary work is heating up. The experienced missionaries have been great examples of teaching and training new missionaries and the newer missionaries are quickly learning the language and working hard to be "on the Lord's errand."

We actually said good-bye to missionaries in two groups.  The first group departed in December and the other group flew out on January 10th.

We had twelve new missionaries arrive in January.  One came from the Spain MTC, ten came from the Provo MTC and one came from our mission and is waiting for his Visa.

Each new group brings a special light to our mission.  We see the growth they experience until they depart.  We love our missionaries and appreciate their dedication and service to the Lord.  We know that they have the right vision when they see that their mission is not their mission, but His.
