New Missionaries October 2017

A great day!

We received the arrival of ten new missionaries!

Five Sorelle and five Anziani.

We are ever grateful for the love and support

of family and friends that made it possible

for them to serve with us.

We are all "called to the work"

because we have the "desire to serve"

Jesus Christ.

Ten missionaries enjoyed the success 

of placing five copies of 

The Book of Mormon

in only one hour.

Amazing!

Many were also able give out printed information.

This group is ready to enjoy the commitment of missionary work.

Today has been a very good start.

Dinner at the mission home.
Salad, pizza, bread, lasagna, gelato and biscotti.
What a great day!  What a wonderful group!
We are blessed!

Solo Arrival. Visa Wait is Over.

The challenges of extended stay in a foreign country

occasionally causes our missionaries 

to endure a visa-wait situation.

When the clearance is given mid-transfer

we have them sent as soon as possible.

This is where they belong.

This is where we need them.

New Missionary Training Oct 2017

Every six weeks we bring the new missionaries

back in to retrain.  

We share what we feel is important about

the culture of our mission,

make certain they understand guidelines

and ask them if they have questions.

 We also share a very touching video presentation

on the Atonement of Jesus Christ 

that has been set to the words of

Henry B. Eyring and Jeffrey R. Holland.

We are reminded of 

WHY

we each chose to serve missions.

We have courage, love, obedience, smiles and

testimonies of Jesus Christ as our Savior.

We have each been called to serve.

We are ready.

We are taking this picture from a different angle

to accommodate train schedules.

Wonderful missionaries who are adjusting to missionary life

and doing remarkably well with the language.

We are grateful to have them.

October Zone Conferences 2017

Exciting times!!

We are now an online proselyting mission!

Each companionship has now received a "smart phone"

with the option to own it personally.  

Our church leadership, mission president, 

and God

believe they are up to this task. 

It will diligence in using the four safeguards:

1- Be in Tune with Spiritual Promptings

2- Be Focused on Your Missionary Purpose

3-Be Disciplined

4- Be one

These safeguards were compared to a

1- Corral, 2- Saddle, 3- Bridle, 4- Training

they will need to competently ride the rearing horse named "Internet".

"Remember, the Lord has confidence in you and in each missionary He has called."

To preach "by the wayside"

Satan tried to "bind the tongue" of Joseph Smith as he prayed in the Sacred Grove.

We must not allow him to do the same to us.

We are pleased to welcome

who has been serving well in Minnesota

while awaiting his visa.
He was able to come to the 

 Italy Milan Mission

mid-transfer and we are very grateful to have him.
