Sometimes it is time...

time to remember WHY...

why the Book of Mormon is so very important

to the work we are trying to accomplish here

in the Italy Milan Mission. 

Without the Book of Mormon

we are just another religion

with an incredible story

that is no longer credible.

WITH the Book of Mormon

we can boldly walk into the world

and help others also hold truth

~TRUTH~

in their own hands.

WITH the Book of Mormon

comes the Spirit of the Holy Ghost

who teaches each willing reader

directly from heaven to heart.

WITH the Book of Mormon

we can prepare others

to enter in the 

"straight and narrow way"

And be baptized.

That is our goal.

The Book of Mormon

and the Spirit of the Holy Ghost

are our tools.

Zone Conference Topics

Presidente - Conferences are important to gather and edify.

Teach simply, teach well.

Principles of obedience.  Keep music appropriate.
Elevate language usage. Keep relationships with fellow missionaries
appropriate.  Do not take cell phones into the bathroom. 

Leaving our nets behind to serve.

Find.

Zone Leaders - Utilize the Book of Mormon in all our teaching.
There is power in the book.  Hold it.  Study it.  Use it.
Testify of it.

Sister Trainer Leaders - The First Vision is important.

Always teach it in a reverent, sacred way, from your  heart.

Assistants - In what way can we use the Book of Mormon.
How can we be personally blessed by it's contents.

D&C 18:44  "And by YOUR hands I WILL work a marvelous

work and a wonder..."
We are His hands as we find, teach, baptize.
Be clean, productive, diligent.

We were also blessed with lovely musical numbers as well as

spiritual thoughts by our great missionaries.

This was a conference to remember.

First, because it was inspirational, and

second, because we MUST remember what we have learned.  

Our goal is to baptize.  

To bring others "into the fold" of Jesus Christ,

of Him whom we testify by the power of

the Book of Mormon,

We enjoyed a wonderful day of training

and discussing ways to improve our missionary work.

Presidente Botta, Counselor to President Allen,

 presented ways we can work with members.

A convert himself, there are many future family members who will 

be blessed through each baptism.

Assistants talked about our missionary purpose from 

Preach My Gospel.

Sorella Allen presented the new mission scripture

D&C 18:44

and discussed ways our hands can become

like the hands of the Savior.

talked about the importance of the 

Book of Mormon

(the physical presentation in our teaching)

and challenged the missionaries to use paper scriptures

in all lessons and at church.

We should always have a copy of this book with us.

We are privileged to work with such wonderful missionaries.

Returning Missionaries - February 2018

Change is the only constant we 

can count on in a mission.

Change is divine.

We were never made to "sit" or

be "stuck" in one place

doing the same thing over and over and over.

Change is how we grow.

Change is what allows us to grow.

Change IS growth.

It is also hard.

We bid a loving farewell 

to wonderful missionaries that have become

part of the Italy Milan Mission family.

Their struggles and joys have been ours as well.

They are heroes.

Avanti! Sempre avanti!

New Missionaries Arrive! (Feb 2018)

It's an unusually beautiful in Milan 

for February.

The sun is shining, the weather mildly cool

and our new missionaries are arriving.

We first receive two from the MTC in Spain

and then the next day all go to welcome "home"

the seven coming from the Provo MTC.

Even after the long journey they are smiling 

and anxious to do what they came to do...

"Preach repentance and baptize converts".
