Preach Repentance and Baptize Converts

On January 20, 2016, a Worldwide Missionary Training was held in Utah.  All of the missionaries in the Italy Milan Mission were able to see this training live via satellite.  It was broadcast in approximately twenty-five locations around the 

Italy Milan Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Following the broadcast at the next Consiglio held in February, we discussed how to implement the things learned in the broadcast to help us in our missionary service.

After the Consiglio, eight Zone Conferences were held between February 11th and February 29th.  The teachings all related to Preaching Repentance and Baptizing Converts.  New missionaries were introduced and departing missionary advice and testimonies were given.  President Dibb went back to the basics in discussing the importance of the role of the Holy Ghost in conversion, teaching and role- playing (practicing during language study) the Restoration Lesson and being a full tithe payer as we serve eighteen months and two years as full-time missionaries (See President Gordon B. Hinckley General Preisthood Meeting talk in October1995).  Sister Dibb pointed out the importance of  each missionary having a "Grab and Go Kit" as outlined in our mission's Emergency Action Plan and the missionaries made some spiritual preparation analogs to the physical preparations.  The Zone Leaders taught about working with members with a special emphasis on doing a Primary Sharing Time about missionary service.  The Sister Training Leaders used a discussion format talking with the missionaries about what the missionaries had changed in their missionary service since the broadcast and the differences it made in their missionary work.  A video of missionaries with recently baptized members, working with members and missionary meetings made by Anziano Wright, the Mission Secretary, was shown.  Lunch was arranged for by the Zone Leaders.

Truly, February was an amazing month for searching within ourselves to attack the day, become the message and access the power of the spirit in our work to more fully serve the Lord.  What a blessed experience a full-time mission can be as we strive to "Teach Repentance and Baptize Converts."
